Those who know me, know that I love to spend European winter in Sri Lanka, specially in the Southwest coast.
The Southwest coast is filled with pretty beaches, good surf spots for all levels and coastal towns with a cool atmosphere.
I usually spend most of my time between Ahangama / Midigama / Weligama and Hiriketiya.
So here are some recos around this area:

As professional summer seekers, we are always looking for places we can go during the cold European winter and the Southwest Coast of Sri Lanka is one of those places.
From November through April you'll find the best conditions and greatest variety of waves for surfing.
Surf breaks are pretty close together and you can see many of them from the main coastal road which makes it easier to navigate by tuk-tuk or scooter.
