De raíz mallorquina y corazón salado.

María, tell us a bit about yourself/
Born and raised in Mallorca, with a soul connected to the sea. I’m an art director and visual creative, bringing audiovisual projects to life and designing inspiring spaces.
You’ve always lived close to the sea. What draws you to living in Mallorca?/
The deep connection I feel to the island, where beauty intertwines with tradition and the sea is always within reach.
Describe a day in your life/
I start my day with a glass of fresh orange juice since I’m not a coffee person, hehe. Then, I dive into creative projects. On days I can, I make time to enjoy moments with friends—preferably at sunset.
3 places you would recommend we visit if we travel to Mallorca/
If you enjoy sailing, I recommend renting a charter with my friend Mundo. He has a classic Llaut called Sol and also a sailboat if you’d like to stay overnight. @rapitacharter.
If you visit during winter, you must try Dos Alquemistas. The food is amazing, all made with local ingredients, and the place is absolutely beautiful.
Another great winter plan is visiting Son Mico to enjoy a pastry with tea or coffee. The views of the Serra de Tramuntana are breathtaking. It’s best to hike up there, as the road for driving can be a bit tricky.
Tell us about your profession. What inspired you to pursue art direction?/
My passion for telling visual stories and my love for design and aesthetics.
It’s clear that your eye has a unique sensitivity. What do you think art direction brings to a project?/
It creates a unique atmosphere that connects with people through every detail.
How do you stay inspired and maintain your creativity?/
Inspiration comes when I connect with the beauty of the subject I’m working on, especially in fiction, where every set is an opportunity to make something cinematic. I also take moments of calm to recharge when I need it.
What type of project do you most enjoy collaborating on?/
I love working on projects that align with my style of design, where I can authentically contribute my vision and creativity.
Tell us more about yourself. What are your other hobbies? How do you like to spend your free time?/
Photography is one of my passions, and I often combine it with my free time: taking photos, sailing, or enjoying moments with friends.
What does fashion mean to you? What role does it play in your life?/
Fashion is a way of self-expression and creativity that reflects my identity.
How would you define your style?/
A mix of Mediterranean touches with urban vibes, but more colorful. (Feel free to interpret that however you like, haha!)
What do you look for in a clothing brand?/
Quality, sustainability, and an authentic narrative behind the pieces.
What are your upcoming projects?/
I’m currently working on several projects that will soon be unveiled. I’m designing a Christmas window display, creating a commercial for building materials, and will soon begin the second part of a Spanish film—a project that will keep me busy throughout the colder months on the island.
